I've decided to learn about quite a specific and technical topic- Adobe Animate. Why? There is something about those swirling shapes and graphics that I think might make some content much more appealing to learners. So, with optimism I'm embarking on my learning journey by accessing my workplace online Training database - Lynda.com, and working through a short course called "Learning Adobe Animate CC" by Joseph Labrecque. If you are interested, here is a short video that explains how Adobe Animate works.

I'm really interested in what you find Natalie. I tend to steer clear of Adobe if I can due to the cost (and I'm on Mac so tend to be able to find other apps that do the job), but I am definitely interested in finding out what you discover!

Well Fiona, I'm not usually that brave but I have become a bit more enamoured with Adobe products since using Adobe Spark. My job includes producing videos for students , and I've found Adobe Spark a really quick easy way to produce short videos. Adobe Animate also has the same interface as another type of Software I use for videos- Camtasia. So, I'm feeling ok about giving it a try. Just about to begin now.

Hi Natalie, thanks for sharing your thoughts and the intro too. I don't have any experience with this particular program. Like Fiona, I have not been using Adobe for a long time, mainly because flash based elements can cause issues with viewing.

I agree Deepa. Luckily, I can access most of the Adobe suite through the Software Centre at my workplace. I use Annotator a lot as well.
