Watching the Sunrise program on Channel 7 this morning, I saw an interview with a gentleman who was the first person to successfully complete the new Pokemon GO game. I don't know very much about this game, but I gather that participants need to find individual Pokemons located around the world. The gentleman said that he used Reddit frequently to help him in this quest. For me, it raised the possibility of using Reddit in the classroom to facilitate discovery through participation and collaboration. This successful Pokemon quest involved a network of people in different locations, who most probably didn't know each other, contributing knowledge to a common project, participating and collaborating together to formulate new knowledge, and ultimately achieving success in that project. www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/

Given Reddit's less than stellar reputation, harnessing it in the classroom could offer some interesting challenges. I do think there are also some great advantages. It would be interesting to see if you and your learners could actually access reddit.
